Rain dance: Rhythms of the world
Over the weekend of the 14th-15th July, despite the rain, Pump Aid supporter Paul O’Shaughnessy volunteered at the Rhythms of the World Festival in Hertfordshire. The festival is organised and run by volunteers. Paul has been every year since moving to the area and this year he decided to get more involved. Paul was delighted when he found that his volunteering could also support Pump Aid; “It was a bonus that the role I took on allowed me to order four pallets of Thirsty Planetwater. Thirsty Planet for years has supported Pump Aid’s work with communities in Africa, providing clean, safe, drinking water and improving sanitation. My business supplies company 4R Office will also support Pump Aid once launched next month.”
Despite the rain and the mud, which made Paul and the teams volunteering efforts a little more difficult (they spent over 5 hours and moved 2.5 tonnes of stock by hand in a chain of people), they were able to set up their stall and sell Thirsty Planet water bottles to festival goers. A big thank you to everyone involved in supporting Pump Aid through our partners Thirsty Planet as well as promoting Pump Aid’s work. We love the t-shirt Paul!
