Pump Aid’s Animation: Finalist in Smiley Charity Film Awards

We are delighted to announce that Pump Aid’s animation, “Breaking the Cycle: Water Poverty and Empowering Women and Girls in Malawi,” has been selected as a finalist in the Smiley Charity Film Awards. This recognition highlights our commitment to raising awareness about water poverty and empowering vulnerable communities in Malawi.

In this captivating animation, we explain the harsh realities faced by women and girls in Malawi due to water poverty. Through powerful storytelling, viewers gain insight into how limited access to clean water impacts their daily lives, education, and overall well-being. The animation, sheds light on the challenges faced by individuals like Joyce and emphasises the urgent need for sustainable solutions.

We are immensely grateful to our dedicated volunteer and creative freelancer, Rachael Ward, for her talent and commitment in bringing this project to life. Rachael’s expertise and passion have been instrumental in creating a compelling narrative that resonates with audiences worldwide.

The animated campaign serves as a powerful tool for raising awareness for Pump Aid’s mission to eradicate water poverty in Malawi by 2030. Through collaborative efforts and innovative initiatives like this, we continue to empower communities and create lasting change.
